City Garden is located in the very centre of Alytus downtown. It is famous for its rosary, which was started in the thirties of the last century. The interwar fountain with the small basin remains till now, goldfish and blooming lilies used to flourish in the fountain.

The Resort Park was founded in a natural pinewood in 1931. Following a path decorated with playful wooden sculptures one can reach Dailide Lake formed in the wash of the river Nemunas. In summer fountains spurt out there, there is a beach, footbridges, and boat pier and lifeguard station.
The Old Town Square lies between Bažny¬čios and Aly¬vų Ta¬kas streets. Before the Second World War, residential and commercial buildings and houses of craftsmen stood here. They were bombarded by German fleets during the war. The houses were not rebuilt and the square was constructed instead.
The Youth Park is located amongst springy brooks and it is distinct from other parks with its metal plastic sculptures composition. The Youth Park attracts people with recreations and sports ground, playground and cycling tracks. The park fits both for cultural events and relaxation.
In 2005, near to St. Mary Cristians‘ Aid Church in memorial of perished friends members of the club Afghanistan war planted a park of oaks, called 'Tear of Kabul'.
Likiskiai Park is one of the youngest city parks which was created and planted in 1994. In the park stands the highest (165 m) hill in Alytus, which offers a great view of the city. Next to the park is the only monument in Lithuania built for the 1979-1989 Afghanistan war Lithuanians' who died. In the honor of the memory of these people was planted a grove of oaks.
The Gulbyne Park is located in the Northern part of the town separates uptown from industrial area. The park got its name from the swans, which love swimming in the pond together with other birds. Fishermen like this place a lot. Photographer Zenonas Bulgakovas
